Spin Boldak Border Crossing Reopens Following Deadly Firefight

The Taliban-controlled Bakhtar News Agency announced that the Spin Boldak border crossing in Kandahar has reopened on Monday morning. The border crossing was closed on Sunday following a firefight between the Taliban and Pakistani border forces.

According to reports, in the border clash, a Taliban fighter and six Pakistani citizens had been killed.

Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan affairs, said that he has delivered his government’s message to the Taliban, and said that such incidents "should not repeat" in the future.
