Taliban Announces Discovery of New Precious Stone Mine in Badghis

Taliban’s local officials announced that a precious stone mine has been discovered in Ab Kamari district of Badghis province. According to the Taliban-controlled Bakhtar News Agency, gold, copper, and other precious stones have been found in the mine.

According to Taliban officials, the stones discovered from the precious stone mine have been sent to the laboratory of the Taliban’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum for further examination.

Last week, Taliban officials had also announced the discovery of two gas deposits in Qadis district of Badghis district. No further information has been provided about the group’s exploration of the two gas deposits.
